On the afternoon of February 22nd, 2021, at the invitation of the Department of Soil, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Professor Yongming Luo, the director of CAS Key Laboratory of Soil Environment and Pollution Remediation, Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote report titled “Strategies for the Prevention and Control of Soil Pollution and the Safe Utilization of Cultivated Soil in China” at the online conference of “Safe Utilization of Farmland --- Development and Application of Soil Amendment”. Professor Yongming Luo introduced the current strategies and technology application of soil pollution prevention and control of cultivated soil, and the joint work and progress cultivated soil’s prevention and control of soil pollution. He also put forward some questions and suggestions on the prevention and control of cultivated soil pollution, and discussed with conference participants.
The conference was presided over by Bin Zhong, deputy director of Soil Department; Yaxiong Hong, director of Soil Science Center, Hedong Chen, the deputy director and other leaders attended this conference. Over 80 people from Soil Science Center of Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences and other institutes also attended this conference.
