Dr. Yuanhua DONG is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, obtained his Ph.D. in 1993 at the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, majored in Ecology.

Dr. DONG has published 200 papers and 5 monographs, authorized to obtain 47 national invention patents and 2 PCT invention patents.

Dr. DONG is the Chairman of the Soil Engineering Committee, Soil Science Society of China.

Research Areas

(1) The Soil Ecology, trying to understand the interaction between soil organisms, plant roots and soil health, and set up the techniques to restore functions of soil ecosystems.

(2) Pollution Ecology, interested in the pollution features in manures and soils, and their impacts on soil health and food quality.

(3) Soil Engineering, developing the engineering equipment and technology to restore degraded ecological systems.
