The KLSEPR, CAS has established two international research centers and a joint open laboratory.

1. The affiliates of the Asia Center of the Global Soil Remediation Network will make greater contributions to the remediation of contaminated soil and the improvement of soil quality in China and Asian region.

2. The East Asia Center, a regional partner of Future Earth Coasts (FEC), is conducive to the development of exchanges and cooperation activities in the Belt and Road countries and regions related to environmental changes, especially in land-sea or coastal environment.

3. Huilian Building, the location of the Joint Open Laboratory of Soil and Environment between ISSCAS and Hong Kong Baptist University, has been completed and put into use.
